Lion King, The Play
Eric’s gift to me on our Anniversary was tickets to the play Lion King at Michigan State University. I was very excited, I love going to plays and have not been to many. Eric’s seen The Lion King before and really enjoyed it so I knew I would also like it.
It was AMAZING!! The costumes were spectacular and the seats were really great to see everything. I absolutely loved it!! Can’t wait to continue to see more plays and would pay to see this one again! Highly recommended!!!
Thanks babe!
Our New Addition
After a lot of discussion and research, Eric and I have decided to add a fourth dog to the mix, a Dutch Shepherd. When we adopted Kya, we had hoped for another agility dog, one that perhaps wasn’t as moody as Midas. Unfortunately, that is not to be. I have other hopes for this pup as well…but we’ll hold out on mentioning those until he’s older
These are his parents – Balen and Titan
They are so athletic and I’ve talked at length with the breeder and feel really good about getting a pup that will fit into our home perfectly – the landlord is also agreeable to adding one last dog
More New House
We love our new house
I put a lot of time and effort into the Dog Room. Yes, it’s capitalized…
Eric vows that he’s turned over a new leaf and this house will be kept much cleaner than the last…I’ve not been impressed so far but I guess we will see.
I love my bright, sunny living room!
Other rooms:
We walked the property, there is a collapsing fence bordering one side and it goes a long way back. There are random articles and items that make me wonder if we put out some hobos by moving in but oh well. Love it
Eric’s Birthday at Grandma’s
We drove to Holland to meet Eric’s family at Grandma’s house for his birthday. Good food and good cake!
The Day of the Lost Keys
This morning, Eric was convinced he had lost his keys somewhere. He said he searched high and low and when I asked if he had checked his coat pockets, I was told yes with impatience. Where did I find them? In his coat pocket.
Next we drive home to find out that the door is locked and the key we had been hiding outside until we got the copies from the landlord was gone. Eric was sure he had brought it in the house with him that morning and forgotten it. Stranded in the driveway with all three dogs, we called our landlord, and agreed to meet back in Grand Rapids, where we had just come from.
We met him, drove back home and let the dogs out and while I was out in the yard with them, I heard the door slam and immediately thought “Uh oh..” yup, Eric had left the entire ring of extra keys on the dining room table (within sight of us) and the door was locked. We called the landlord again, who was extremely displeased that he had to drive all the way out to Allendale, and he opened the door for us. Meanwhile, we had been huddling in the truck with the dogs until he arrived.
What a day…now we all have copies of the key and various hiding spots for each door…whew! What a day!
No commentsMoving! (again)
We decided to try to move everything in one day, with only the help of Adam. We rented a U-Haul and started to clear out the Charlotte house and move everything to the Warner house. It was an incredibly looonnnggg, hard and tiring day.
Empty Charlotte house:
Once at the Warner house, I started to work on putting two layers of painter’s sheet-plastic covering for floors down, getting it taped up and prepared for the linoleum we bought for the dog’s room to protect the carpet from EK (Evil Kya).
I despise moving…it’s hard enough to keep things even close to clean with Eric and the dogs, but moving adds a whole new element of messiness to things:
Can’t wait to get everything unpacked and cleaned up!
