Happy Two Year Anniversary!
Today Eric and I have been together for 2 whole years now. That’s weird to say type. I haven’t been with anyone this long since high school…
For Eric’s gifts – I got him a memoir box and filled it with…memories that means something to us. I also fixed his watch and bought him tickets to the Rascal Flatts concert coming up in February.
For my gifts from Eric – he bought me two “little black dresses” and tickets to see The Lion King at MSU. And he made me jewelry!!!
These are my new shoes to go with my little black dress
I’m so excited!
No commentsChristmas 2008
Unfortunately, I began to feel sick right after we went bowling and that seeped over into Christmas
. So, I ended up missing out on both of Eric’s Mom’s side of the family’s Christmas’ (wow, did that make any sense??) and staying at my parents’ the whole time.
We celebrated Christmas early (so as not to have to bring everything up North and then back again). I took pictures of Eric’s gifts to me, but there are no photos of my gifts to him as yet (why is that Eric??? hmmm? lol).
ETA: the photos are up now
This is the laptop/camera bag I got him. I also got him a new lens (visible in the last photo):
At my parents’, we started out by giving all 5 dogs their gifts:
After that, the immediate fam opened gifts.
Eric, Adam and I made two large-ish framed photos for Mom:
Dad got her some very nice sweaters:
We got Dad tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy at the end of January and Mom got him a new (tiny!) laptop:
Eric and I got Adam a gift card to American Eagle:
Eric got some reflectors for his camera that he had been really wanting and some pajama pants, white tees (badly needed!) and some new socks:
I got a new toaster oven (for Eric too) from my brother:
some clothing and books from my mom and…
A NEW BOOKCASE (from Mom and Eric)!!!! Isn’t it awesome????
We did some seating rearranging and then did it all over again with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sheila:
Aunt Sheila made me a sweater:
Some people had smart comments to make, to which I responded:
Adam is wearing the blanket Aunt Sheila made him. Then he wanted to try on my new sweater:
His boobs may be bigger than mine…LOL
The rest of the time we lounged around and put concerted effort into relaxing…including a 3-D movie:
No commentsKelly’s Visit
Kelly came back to Michigan for Christmas and New Year’s. Of course we had to have a get together so that everyone could visit and see each other before the holidays hectic-ness began. We had “breakfast” for lunch, went bowling and then hung out at our house playing games.
No commentsRebecca’s Party
Tonight was Rebecca’s (and roommates’) house party for Christmas. It was a semi-formal affair, as in dresses and button-downs and ties. Eric and I convinced Adam to come back from up north to go with us. Here we are getting ready:
The party was…interesting. There weren’t very many people that we knew, but the ones there were drunk…and hilarious!
Good Times!!

Playing Catch-Up Again
Here I am, behind on my blog yet again. I suck. I also forgot some important things when I wrote my last update. We’ll try to cover that now.
MEEKO
My beloved little pet flying squirrel, Meeko, died. He had a seizure a couple of months prior that I had witnessed but nothing since so I thought it was perhaps a one time thing. Unfortunately not
RIP little guy:
LINEDANCING
I went linedancing with Rebecca a couple of times, absolutely loved it! Wish I could find time in my schedule to go to actual classes to learn more dances, it’s such a blast.
MIDAS
Midas hasn’t been getting the attention he was accustomed to after I stopped going to Agility with him, so Eric and I loaded him and Kya up (Mason was getting loads because of SAR) and took them to the park several times.
MORE RED HAIR
Here are some more photos of me with red hair – still loving it!
THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving was delicious and at Grandma and Grandpa’s of course. I really wanted to get some good photos of Eric and I and of us three roommates as well:
CLINICALS
I’ve so far been through Micro, Urinalysis, Immunology, Chemistry and Hematology and worked at St. Mary’s, Blodgett and Butterworth. I love it! I’m very much looking forward to graduation and working in this field!!!
BRANDED
Branded, whom Eric and I have been avid fans of and partied with often, has ended as a group. Most of the band is continuing to do music in various other groups, but Branded as we know them, is done
There was some drinking:
Some dancing:
Some posing:
And plenty of crying (and me trying to make the criers feel better…):
Lots of changes, that’s for sure…
Furniture For Sale
We’ve been accumulating extras since I started to collect more Oak furniture. We finally got around to posting them on Craigslist, hoping to sell everything and use the money to get a big person-and-a-half chair and ottoman for the room where my bookcase is, by the window.
